Who I am
Meet Your Podcast Host!

Hi, I am Mells
After finishing uni, the idea of sitting forever in a 9-to-5 felt like the ultimate nightmare. So instead of finding a “real job,” I did what any slightly unhinged, dorky dreamer would do: I booked a one-way ticket to the farthest place I could think of — New Zealand.
That’s where my solo backpacking journey began in 2022, and honestly? I never looked back. Since then I’ve been stumbling through the world with zero plan, fully dependent on Google Maps and learning to laugh at my own chaos.
BackPackTrack
Solo traveling completely turned my life upside down. I traded the structured German everyday life for the freedom of just going with the flow — and along the way, I’ve collected unforgettable memories, learned more about myself than I ever imagined, and fallen in love with the unpredictable travel life. My whole life basically fits into one backpack, and that’s exactly how I like it. I also love to talk (sometimes too much), so I thought: why not start a podcast? Backpacktrack is where I overshare it all — the wins, the fails, the tips, and the real, unfiltered stories from life with one backpack.
